Rory McLeod at the Corn Exchange

Rory McLeod, Exeter Corn Exchange, Wednesday 12 November

By Martin Hodge

If like me, you’ve seen Rory McLeod before, you’ll want to see him again and again. From start to finish he’ll have you spellbound with his dynamic music, highly original songs, amazing tales and his sheer energy.

One moment he’s telling you and singing about his love for his grandma, the next he’s dealing with the vagaries of monetarism.

A worldly-wise traveller and former circus entertainer, he weaves elements taken from various cultures into a magic musical mix, using tap shoes, harmonica, guitar, trombone, spoons, finger cymbals, bandorea, djembe, accappella and more in his unique one man show.

See you there.

Rory McLeod, Exeter Corn Exchange, Wednesday 12 November. Tickets cost £12.50 and are available from the venue (01392 665866) or from Exeter Tickets at the Visitor Information Centre, Princesshay.

Rory McLeod’s music will be previewed on the Roots and Shoots show on Phonic FM every Monday from 6pm to 8pm.
