Playing some red hot rockin' blues. |
Listen again to Scatman’s Rockin’ Radio
Show name: Scatman’s Rockin’ Radio
Presenters names: Brian Winchester with Dan the Man
Show time and day: Every second Saturday from 4pm till 6pm.
What type of music can we expect to hear on your show?
You can usually expect to hear some 50s rock’n'roll, rockabilly, jump jive, boogie woogie and rhythm & blues.
Why do you like this music?
I like it because it’s got rhythm and you can dance to it.
What is the format of your show?
I play plenty of music with on air banter with Dan the Man.
Why should we listen to your show?
Because you will hear great rockin’ music and hopefully have a giggle to.
How did your show come about?
I was getting a bit fed up of hearing so called rock’n'roll and the same songs being played over and over again. Radio DJs just seem to keep to the hits of the 50s, but there is so much more music of the 50s that gets over looked. I got a radio show so I could play it.
What goes on behind the scenes in the studio?
Chaos!
What has been your best on air moment?
Playing the right track! Hee! Hee!
What has been your worst/ most embarrassing on air moment?
Building up a track to wow the listeners then playing the wrong one (it always happens).
Who is your favourite artist?
I don’t have a favourite if it’s good I’ll play it.
What is your all time favourite album?
Again I don’t have a favourite album.

always a good listen, even though most of the music is from before i was born, its awesome to hear new stuff, totally different than you would hear anywhere else, i like the fact that he only plays the more obscure tracks, and no mainstreem watered down tunes.
respect goes to the scatman!

Well the shows great but not often enough people like me scour the net for this type of music.
There is still a big following for it and i can’t live without it!In fact a pal of mine tuned in out in Phoenix Arizona. So keep on spinnin the wax
and we would love to hear more

At last!! A show that plays rockabilly as well as rock n roll. You really should have a bigger following, it’s not fair that a show and a station such as yours is only available to the priveleged few!! Long may you continue and your audiences grow.
