Shawn

Music that makes you smile and surfing stuff.

Music that makes you smile and surfing stuff.

Name: Shawn

Show: Big Wednesday

When are you on? Wednesday 10am-12noon

What type of music can we expect to hear on your show?
Funk , jazz, dub,  hip hop, indie, down tempo, pop, dub step, mid tempo, new folk, beats, breaks and drum and bass (and no chessy vocals).

How did you get into this type of music?
Spending all my money on going to clubs and gigs.

How long have you been DJing?
About 10 years ago, got my first mixer for my 21 birthday .

How did you start DJing?
In the bedroom like most people.

Can we find you DJing anywhere other than on Phonic FM?
I am new to Exeter so if any one wants a DJ that plays music like the show I will be there.

What has been your most embarrassing DJing moment?
Getting drunk and kissing records before playing them.

What has been your best DJing moment?
Making people smile and dance.

Who is your favourite artist? Why?
Will Holland because every thing he does (apart from the really vocal stuff) is good and his DJ sets are something else.

What is your all time favourite album? Why?
Impossible question, changes by the hour ’cause I am always finding new stuff but Athlete, Vehicles and Animals keeps me quite.

Where do you shop for music in Exeter? Why?
Reform records is good but mostly on line and record shops in Brighton.
