What type of music can we expect to hear on your show?
Everything & Anything – Funk, Soul, Reggae, Dub, Ska, Jazz, Swing, Electro-Swing, Breaks, Electronic, Tech/House Etc.
How did you get into this type of music?
I’ve always had a varied taste in music. My parents were always performing and our house was always full of people singing and playing a full range of music. As a result I sing, play the piano and blues harmonica. - “A good tunes a good tune”……… - Anon
How long have you been DJing?
8 years 58 days (roughly)
How did you start DJing?
I first got introduced to djing from my sisters boyfriend when I was 13 from which I continued my love for mixing house, drum and bass and jungle. It was my mate dommy a.k.a DJ Finbar that got me unleashing my record collection on others!! (Monkey Sound System)
Can we find you DJing anywhere other than on Phonic FM?
I just moved down to Exeter last year so trying to build up local gigs……….. watch this space!!
What has been your most embarrassing DJing moment?
Ejecting the CD thats playing (A few times) Stinking out a venue because me and Dommy had put bubble fluid in the smoke machine. Putting 16 plugs into one socket in the wall. blowing that one up then unplugging another only to find, the next day, it was the venues c.c.t.v. Anymore??!! – Basically any gig with Finbar involved (Love you big bro a.k.a gumbo)
What has been your best DJing moment?
Warm up slot at Gardening Club 2 Piccadilly Circus when I was 13!!!
Who is your favourite artist? Why?
eerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm……………….. too many!!!
What is your all time favourite album? Why?
I can tell you one of my favorite tracks?? Penguin Cafe Orchestra – Music for a found harmonium!!! – It always makes me feel happy!!
Where do you shop for music in Exeter? Why?
Mostly Shops!!!
