Patrick Monahan on tour, Bike Shed Theatre, Sunday 17th April

International award winning comedian Patrick Monahan will be performing two brand new shows for 2011 Patrick Monahan On Tour and his new energy filled children’s performance.

His 2010 show I Walked, I Danced, Iran was a huge success and sold out across the UK receiving four and five star reviews at the 2010 Edinburgh Festival.

Patrick Monahan is billed as a superb anecdotal comedian. Having been brought up in Middlesbrough by his Iranian Mother and Irish Dad he has many hilarious and engaging stories about his heritage.

The comedian and storyteller will also be entertaining the youngsters with an energy packed and fun filled, brand new family show – a colourful mish-mash of stand-up, story-telling, music and movement!

Patrick’s get the chldren giggling and clapping along with delight. He hugs Dads, squirts water pistols, teaches kung-fu moves and effortlessly entertains his enraptured audience!

As Ali The Amazing (a 467 year old Persian story Teller) Patrick takes the whole family on a hilarious and interactive journey that’s great fun for everyone aged four4 to 104.

His magical stories include The Gushing Gulf Of Persia, and The Boy With Snakes For Hands. Expect lots of audience participation and plenty of boisterous fun.

In the six years since Patrick started performing stand-up, he has had a meteoric rise up the comedy ladder. He has gone from open spot to headliner in an incredibly short length of time.

He is now a regular MC and headlining act at the top London and UK comedy clubs including the prestigious Jongleurs circuit and the Comedy Store. In addition to this Patrick is in huge demand as a TV warm up comedian due to his lovability and clean funny material.

Best known for his many TV appearances including ‘The Paul O’Grady Show’ (C4), ‘Armstrong & Miller Show’ (BBC) and ‘The Sorcerer’s Apprentice’ (CBBC).
