Holly and Annie |
Names: Holly and Annie
Show: Early Bird Show
When are you on? Last Sunday of every Month. 8am – 10am.
What type of music can we expect to hear on your show?
We are teenagers so you’ll hear songs that we enjoy listening to and our age group listens to such as popular music! We’re also huge fans of acoustic covers/versions of songs so a lot of them will be played!
Requests are always exciting though
How did you get into this type of music?
Growing up in a world with lots of music always inspires us to listen to an even wider selection of songs and genres, it just happens that songs within the charts are always changing and it feels pretty cool to know the songs we are listening to are loved by so many other people like us! The acoustic songs are usually found by accident! As we are both hugely into playing our own acoustic music, this type really connects with us and influences us.
How long have you been DJing?
We used to go on Lee Rawlings’ (Holly’s dad) show as guests quite often, to play our own tunes, and to get our mates listening in! When Lee said he was giving up Sundays, he offered us a show once a month to us and Fran Montagnani! We’ve had our own show since September 2011.
How did you start DJing?
Lee Rawlings took us on his show for a one off experience, and we fell in love with it!
Can we find you DJing anywhere other than on Phonic FM?
Unfortunatley not at the moment, due to school and work. It would be pretty cool to do that though!
What has been your most embarrassing DJing moment?
One of our most embarrassing moments was when we interviewed Adam Isaac who got to the live shows on the TV show The Voice, when he told us a bad joke, but we didn’t understand it until about 30 seconds later! Delayed reaction much…haha
What has been your best DJing moment?
All of it. Interviewing all these famous people is so amazing and really shows how down to earth they are. It’s inspiring.
Who is your favourite artist?
We have a lot… a lot. Mainly One Direction, and yes we have been a fan since their first group performance on the x factor, and have been to already 2 of their concerts. They are such lovely guys, that’s why! Also Justin Bieber because he doesn’t get enough credit from the public for his incredible voice! Listen to his acoustic versions…I mean woah! Ed Sheeran because he is fantastic! His songs are all his own and he is so perfect. Amazing voice, great guy, gorgeous hair! Jessie J is incredible, note perfect, a huge inspiration due to her background and life as a kid. Cody Simpson, Ronan Parke, greyson chance, Bruno Mars, Rihanna are also big favorites of ours!
What is your all time favourite album?
Ed Sheeran’s maybe…..? Too hard…too hard.
Where do you shop for music?
Anywhere and everywhere, internet or HMV really.
