The Selecter -Made In Britain |
The Selecter, Exeter Phoenix, Thursday 29th March, 8:00pm
Seminal two-tone band The Selecter, featuring Pauline Black and Gaps Henderson, are to appear at Exeter Phoenix on Thursday March 29th 2012 at 8.00pm. This is part of the Made In Britain UK Tour 2012.
The Selecter pioneered the ska revival movement alongside labelmate, The Specials and Madness. They were responsible for the scene’s classic hits On My Radio, Three Minute Hero and Too Much Pressure.
It’s now over 30 years since the Two Tone band The Selecter gave a voice to disaffected young people across the racial divide.
Made in Britain, released in 2011, finds disturbing parallels in modern Britain with the earlier period of darkness.
They are supported by Talisman.
Tickets £15.00 from Exeter Phoenix.
