Once again, arts education charity Daisi will be drawing on its team of more than 150 professional artists and its links with schools across the county to put together a very special project, which is part of a longer-term partnership with Exeter Northcott Theatre.
In all, The Snail and the Whale exhibition will show the work of children between the ages of five and eleven from several schools across Devon, exploring the story and recreating the magical world of The Snail and the Whale.
Last year, Daisi staged an exhibition to run alongside Exeter Northcott’s 2011 Christmas show, We’re Going on a Bear Hunt. They took over the foyer and all the other front of house areas – the bar, gallery and annexe areas – with the art project, which featured 3d pieces, recreating the different environments which feature in the book.
The Snail and the Whale exhibition will also be free to view from 10-31 December 2012.
