Local band The True Blue release their single Hilary’s Song next month.
The True Blue are said to be a breath of fresh air in an age where the majority of young people interested in music naively believe that pop stardom beckons with the X-Factor.
Formed in early 2011, in Exmouth – a town famed more for boozing and the all too often weekend punch-ups than any positivity, The True Blue, took these small town observations, and wrote a batch of songs. The results can be found on their impressive debut album Oh The Horror, which is out now in iTunes.
Principal songwriter Ryan Ousley’s, sweet melodies and honest lyrics touch upon the futility of seaside town existence, wasted opportunity and the escapism from it all with Ryan’s love of comic books and films.
The True Blue played several major UK festival’s last summer, and have built a strong fan base with extensive gigging.
Their debut single Hilary’s Song is released by digital download and limited edition CD on March 5th through their own label Wise Owl Recordings.
The single will come backed with two new recordings Secrets and Easy As You Go.
