Freddy Dare And The Ginger Robber at the Bikeshed Theatre

Freddy Dare And The Ginger Robber, The Bikeshed Theatre, 19 Feb – 7 March, 2013

Fred Andrews is short for his age, can’t play football, and making friends at his new secondary school is proving difficult. His Dad died a while ago, and Fred’s Mum is too sad to pay attention to him. Fred wants to change his world – and so he does. He becomes Freddy Dare – a superhero with a glamorous accomplice, the Ginger Robber! Together, they must overcome The Mistress, steal their opportunity and tap dance their way to Vegas! Will they make it? Join Fred on his imaginary journey as he escapes from his grief and anxieties at the loss of his Dad, and steps into the glamorous world of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

Is it a film? Is it a play? Yes… Freddy Dare and the Ginger Robber brings you both.

Freddy Dare and it’s counterpart Aubade form part of Exeter’s Extreme Imagination Festival 2013.

Arts Council funded, The Bike Shed Theatre and Cornish based Cube theatre company have joined the two performances, and these shows will run at The Bike Shed Theatre from the 19th February – 9th March before touring both nationally and in the South West throughout 2013.

Cube are currently in rehearsals for Aubade. Freddy Dare was previewed last week with great audience feedback.

“I absolutely LOVED the show! ‘ – Audience Feedback
“It’s like 3-D cinema without the glasses” – Audience Feedback
