Three local acts to kick start your summer season

Phonic FM fundraiser, Exeter Phoenix, Saturday 29 June, 7.30pm

A Phonic FM Fundraiser gig will see The Sunday Sky Club, headline a show at the Exeter Phoenix on Saturday 29th June, supported by alternative folk band MoorReason from Okehampton and Maz Totterdell from Crediton who will open the show with an acoustic set.

The Sunday Sky Club are a four piece from Exeter who combine their love of pop music and indie bands are guaranteed to get you singing and dancing.  Beautiful pianos, soaring synths and crunching guitars combine in melodic harmony born out of an enormous scope of influences across different genres from pop to heavy rock. They write catchy pop songs with mega hooks and huge choruses that you can’t get out of your head after you’ve seen them play. We are looking forward to hearing the band’s newly recorded material in advance of yet another EP launch.

MoorReason are a five piece featuring acoustic guitars, mandolin, flute, drums and double bass. Their repertoire of original songs will certainly entertain and their recent EP success will illuminate these emerging stars.

Maz Totterdell, the lead vocalist of Carnavala, has appeared on BBC radio Introducing and will open the show with a rare acoustic set.

Tickets £6 in advance form Exeter Phoenix Box Office: Tel 01392 667080. Buy online: www.exeterphoenix.org.uk or buy on the door: £7.
