Sunrise has packed its magic box and is headed to Bristol this year for the 2014 rebirth of Britain’s favourite sustainable music festival. Starting on 29th May at Chepstow Estate, the festival will prove to be a 4-day feast of family-friendly fun, entertainment, music, talks and workshops. Sunrise 2014 is brought to you by those festival wizards who have been giving the South West it’s brightest and best summer party since 2006!
Sunrise Celebration is a festival event that, while allowing individuals to have fun, is done sustainably with the help of renewable resources and organic food and drink. The event is made up of a tribe of regulars from different places who use Sunrise as an opportunity to meet up and exchange their experiences to grow stronger as a resilient community.
This year, the event is taking place at Chepstow Estate, which Sunrise describes as the “perfect festival site” due to the view and the peaceful nature of the area, holding true to Sunrise’s aim.
True to the festival spirit, there will be much music to listen to and Chai Wallahs, the largest independent music venue of the UK, have handed over the wheel of the good ship Sunrise to focus on creating Sunrise’s main stage to showcase an incredible roster of emerging artists in a spectacular environment where people come together and immerse themselves in ‘All Good things’.
This year, Sunrise will have three brand new arenas:
The All Good Things Arena will be Chai Wallahs home patch for the weekend.
The Sundance Arena will feature the Waveform stage, hosted by the Eartheart Dragon and working together with Illuminaughty, Tribe of Frog, Love of Dub and Gaia Chill to bring you the very best psychedelic music Britain has to offer. Plus The Up Rising Stage with GIVE Festival, Love Dance, Inspiral Lounge and Eden/Triplicity with visionary art gallery and finally Cats Cradle, Live Electronica stage.
The new Eden Village will be a solar-powered sustainable paradise, focusing on interactive workshops for kids of all ages. Featuring the Spit and Sawdust Stage, the Avalon Rising talks dome- hosting some of Britain’s top alternative experts and inspirational speakers, Wizard Well Being, Kids playground, sauna, TLC healing garden, sacred fire and crafts area.
Speaking of this years event, Sunbird, the festival’s visionary organiser, said: “I am honoured to be asked to bring together lots of the original elements that we all know and love and help make Sunrise our home from home where we can meet our wider family and have a great time”.
