Going Underground, a night of live prog rock and psychedelia

The Azimuth Coordinator and The Clock Surgeons live at the Globe, Exeter on Fri 21st Nov

Uncle Rebus presents Going Underground, a night of live prog rock and psychedelia. Two of Devon’s best underground bands, prog extraordinaires The Azimuth Coordinator and psychedelic masters The Clock Surgeons will be performing upstairs at The Globe in Newtown, Exeter on Friday 21st November.

Hailing from Exeter The Azimuth Coordinator have their foundations deeply rooted in prog rock, and draw in elements of spacerock and metal to create a truly unique style of music. The four piece, featuring sax, guitar, bass and drums take influence from bands such as King Crimson, early Black Sabbath, The Cardiacs and Hawkwind to generate original and unpredictable instrumental pieces with a contemporary edge.

The Clock Surgeons are masters of the psychedelic sound. With self-penned songs they take the sounds of late 60s psychedelia and freakbeat to create an exciting and raw mix of bubble pop and ripping instrumentals sections. Authentic guitar sounds, trippy vocals and organ make for an engaging and fun live set.

Alongside the bands SOUNDCRASH! DJs will be playing a mix of psych and garage, prog, psychedelia, spacerock and punk. Doors open 8pm with the first band on at 8.45pm.
