New year on Phonic FM

Phonic FM is running a special schedule from 6pm on New Year’s Eve until the morning of Saturday 3 January.

On New Year’s Day from 7pm, Phonic FM’s Culture & Review team take over for a series of special programmes:

7:00pm: a Culture & Review young people’s special, looking at Edgar and the Land of Lost, the festive show at the Bike Shed Theatre; the 2 Short Nights film festival at Exeter Phoenix; and new music from young local singer/songwriter Rapha Ghetti. Presented by Josie Sutcliffe.

8:30pm: another chance to hear A Song to the Tin, a documentary following a project commissioned by Spacex, where artist Simon Pope and his musical collaborators created a new folk song for Dartmoor. Presented by Audaye Elesedy.

9:10pm: another chance to hear a series of sound art pieces commissioned by the Radio Arts collective, on the theme of ‘dreamlands’. Featuring work by Joaquim Cofreces, Magz Hall, Gregory Whitehead, Esther Johnson and Michael McHugh.

At other times we will be playing a continuous music stream.

A very happy new year from everyone at Phonic FM!
