Zappatika, Exeter Phoenix, Thursday 19th March, 8pm

Phonic FM director Paul Giblin will be donning some Zappa style facial hair, handling some vocals and MCing the night (possibly in his infamous rubber vest!) as Frank Zappa tribute band Zappatika take to the stage at Exeter Pheonix on Thursday – this is one gig not to be missed!

Zappatika tackle the material of Frank Zappa, along with their our surreal compositions.

This is the third annual Vibraphonic Zappa night and Zappatika take on the dirty rock, blues and funk end of Zappa’s massive back catalogue.

This band have toured with Zappa’s percussion genius Ed Mann and have thrilled audiences across Europe, including at the international Zappanale festival. Their repertoire includes classics such as City of Tiny Lites, My Guitar Wants to Kill Yer Momma, The Torture Never Stops,Wonderful Wino, Tittles & Beer, Cozmic Debris, Black Napkins Bamboozled By Love , and Watermelon in Easter Hay .

Zappatika  will play two exhausting sets with FSOE VJs on hand to provide Zappa visuals and Phonic FM’s DJ Shiny Beast spinning Zappa and Beefheart before the band and during the break.
