Phonic FM birthday bash and benifit gig, Exeter Phoenix, Friday 6 March, 8.30pm

A top line up promises a night to remember as 106.8 Phonic FM hosts its first ever birthday bash and benifit gig on Friday 6th March at Exeter Phoenix.
Headlining are eight piece live funk extravaganza the Haggis Horns.
Currently performing to rave reviews these boys combine heavy breakbeat funk, soul, hip-hop and afrobeat with the skill of trained jazz musicians.
The Haggis Horns are currently igniting the dance floors of the world’s funk and soul clubs: they have already performed and recorded alongside the likes of Mark Ronson, Amy Winehouse, Nightmares on Wax, Corinne Bailey-Rae, Duran Duran, Lou Donaldson, Lily Allen, KT Tunstall and The Cinematic Orchestra.
Offering support are Exeter’s very own ten-headed, funk-fuelled, ska machine, Melosa. These festival favourites offer up a selection of hot, high energy, feel good sunshine ska with a Latin twist.
With all this and more there is plenty to keep you bobbing around on the dance floor all night long.
Throughout the night a host of Phonic FM DJs be mixing it up and the decks and showing off some of the talent broadcasting on 106.8 Phonic FM.
The mighty Arash from Phonic FM’s 247 Magazine Live show will be kicking off the festivities in the auditorium.
Meanwhile the Mello Men will be warming up party goers in the bar.
From 11pm until 2am the Exeter Phoenix bar will be transformed into a top notch dance area as JamTheChannel and NONOM join forces for some dance fuelled mayhem.
