The Fever Chart, Exeter Northcott Tuesday 9th to Saturday 13th February
Pilot Theatre, who have previously performed Lord Of The Flies and Looking For JJ in Exeter, return to Exeter Northcott between Tuesday 9 and Saturday 13 February with their new play The Fever Chart.
Produced in association with York Theatre Royal, The Fever Chart brings to life the stirring work of playwright Naomi Wallace, who is best known for her deeply political plays including One Flea Spare and The Trestle At Pope Lick Creek.
Written as a trilogy, the play tells three distinct but thematically-related stories, each exploring different aspects of conflict in The Middle East. The settings include a zoo in Palestine, a hospital in Tel Aviv, and a yard in Iraq during the 1991 Gulf War.
Despite tackling huge political questions, the play talks to audiences through very human concerns of love, life and death, exploring how humanity survives in the most inhumane conditions.
Born in Kentucky, USA, internationally-acclaimed playwright Naomi Wallace now splits her time between the USA and the Yorkshire Dales. Her works as a poet, playwright and screenwriter get to the heart of political tensions and have gained her a reputation for pushing boundaries.
