Tune into collision this week to here Greg from Killing for Company talking to Tezza about the release of the single Former Mining Town this week in memory of band member Stuart Cable who sadly passed on 7th June.
The drummer shot to fame as part of the Stereophonics but had most recently been playing with Killing For Company. The proceeds from Former Mining Town will be donated towards the charities, Teenage Cancer Trust and T? Hafan, the family hospice for young lives.
In the past Stuart regularly involved himself in charitable events, raising funds throughout the years for Macmillan Cancer, NetAid, other charities. He was part of a billboard campaign for Testicular Cancer Awareness in 2002 and recently completed a 50 mile Welsh Cycle Challenge for PACT (Parents & Abducted Children Together), only a few days before his tragic death.
Former Mining Town was written and recorded by Killing For Company in 2009 and will be available for download only from 25th July 2010 via iTunes and all other major online stores as well as from the bands website,

Stuart spent much of his time working with various charities. As a tribute his former band Killing For Company are releasing a single to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust and Ty Hafan, two charities he worked closely with”
